Joomla celebrates its 18th anniversary today, marking two years since Joomla 4's release and the official end of support for Joomla 3 by the volunteer community.
A deep sense of gratitude is extended to everyone who contributed to Joomla 3, a platform that has been pivotal for many businesses.
If your site still runs on Joomla 3, you'll notice an administrator alert urging you to migrate to Joomla 4. This migration is crucial as the community's focus has shifted towards newer versions, with Joomla 5 on the horizon.
The notice reads: "Support for Joomla 3.10 has ended. Please migrate to Joomla 4 as soon as possible."
We strongly recommend that all Joomla 3 users upgrade to Joomla 4, as the community’s efforts are now focused on the latest version. Joomla 5 is also on the way, promising even greater stability, speed, security, and functionality.
However, we understand that some users may need to delay migrating due to mission-critical extensions or extensive customizations that make the process more challenging.
Tobias Zulauf has been instrumental in providing volunteer support for Joomla 3.10, and as his tenure as release manager concludes, a heartfelt tribute to his contributions has been featured in the community magazine.
For those needing extended support for Joomla 3.x, Open Source Matters issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) in February 2023. David Jardin detailed the solution in last month’s community magazine, outlining how it will be implemented.
You can read the tribute to Tobias and more about the extended support here
Striking the right balance is challenging. On one hand, our goal is to encourage as many sites as possible to upgrade to the latest version of Joomla. On the other hand, we want to ensure that those who are unable to upgrade still receive support. By actively promoting migration while also offering a commercial safety net for those who need it, we achieve the best of both worlds.

There are some Content Uploader videos on YouTube and you can find the link below.
The Content Uploader basically allows you to take content created in an excel or open office spreadsheet, upload it and create articles, categories, sections and much more from each row in the worksheet.

We're very excited about the recent release of another fantastic free extension.
You might have come across Joomailer previously, our Joomla extension that allows seamless newsletter management and re-purposing of articles via Campaign Monitor.
Taking the existing functionality of Joomailer we partnered with Kelsey from thinksync, located in Australia, and created a whole new Joomailer
Now you have choice. Original Joomailer or our free Joomailer integration with the award-winning email marketing platform Mailchimp
Head over to our comparison page to see the differences.
You may also appreciate reading about the interface improvements made by Kelsey, in this article on his blog.

Joomailer is reaching a new level, with the popular Campaign Monitor integration receiving a twin brother called Freddie.
More of a fraternal twin, as the Mailchimp version will have features that the Campaign Monitor component won't be able to offer and vice versa. It is an entirely new component but will still be known as Joomailer Chimp version.

Today we are showcasing the launch of the new corePHP site , some of our good friends from across the pond (in this case the atlantic). We are quite excited to show you their new site, and some of their better known extensions. They have never hesitated to help us out, so we are trying to return the favor. Over the past year we have come to know each other quite well despite the distance and despite never having met in person. This we hope will change at one of the next Joomla! conventions that we will attend. But now I would like to give you a small introduction to their new site and offerings.
